A record you can revisit

One photo, then a useful place to return.

AskFork keeps the image, timestamp, meal context, estimate, and your chosen action together. The diary becomes more useful as you save real meals—not as a claim that a camera measured them exactly.

01

Capture the meal

Use the camera or photo library, add optional meal context, and approve each newly selected photo before AI analysis.

02

Save the whole entry

Keep the photo, directional estimate, timestamp, meal moment, notes, venue, and selected decision together in History.

03

Find it later

Search meals, notes, or venues; filter recent entries or favorites; and update, share, repeat, or delete what you saved.

04

Review the pattern

See estimated daily totals and review logged entries by day, week, or month, with prior-period comparisons and optional fasting records.

The actual iPhone app

From individual meals to a clearer timeline.

The screens below come from the current AskFork app. They show saved examples and directional estimates—not laboratory measurements or promised outcomes.

AskFork History with three timestamped meal entries and search controls.
History Keep a searchable visual record of saved meals.
AskFork Today showing estimated calories, protein, sugar, fiber, carbs, fat, sodium, and a meal timeline.
Today Review totals from analyses saved on the current date.
AskFork Trends showing weekly momentum, milestones, and day, week, and month controls.
Trends Compare logged estimates without turning them into certainty.

More than a camera roll, less than a lab

Useful context, with the limits left visible.

A meal photo can support a consistent visual record and a directional estimate. It cannot reveal exact weight, hidden oils, recipe ratios, or every ingredient.

AskFork can help you

  • Remember what you ate and when
  • Compare saved meals using the same workflow
  • Notice estimated protein, sugar, fiber, and sodium patterns
  • Keep nutrition and fasting records in one app

Use a stronger source when you need

  • Exact weights or a verified recipe calculation
  • Package-label or laboratory measurements
  • Allergy or food-safety clearance
  • Medical nutrition advice, diagnosis, or treatment

Permission and storage

Your history and photo-analysis permission are separate.

AskFork does not send a newly selected photo for analysis until you enable the in-app permission that names OpenAI and tap Analyze. That permission resets when you select another photo.

When you save an analysis, AskFork keeps the estimate and a compressed copy of the food photo locally on your iPhone for History. Fasting data and on-device history are not included in the food-photo request sent to OpenAI.

Before you download

Photo diary questions, answered.

Does AskFork require a subscription?

No additional subscription is required for the current iPhone release. The current U.S. App Store price is one US$4.99 paid download; local pricing and tax may vary.

Are newly selected photos analyzed automatically?

No. AskFork requires you to enable the in-app permission that names OpenAI and tap Analyze. The permission resets when you select a different photo.

Can I edit or delete diary entries?

Yes. You can update saved meal details, mark favorites, share an entry, repeat it with a fresh timestamp, delete individual entries, or clear local History.

Are the nutrition values exact?

No. They are directional estimates and may be wrong. Exact weights, recipes, and verified package information remain stronger sources when precision matters.

Does the diary replace medical or allergy advice?

No. AskFork is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, allergy clearance, or a substitute for a qualified professional.
